Ministry

Called to serve congregations, global communities, and the eternal human spirit.

I am a candidate for ministry in the Unitarian Universalist Association and an experienced spiritual leader.

Congregation

Healthy congregations transform body and soul. As a lifelong Unitarian Universalist, I have felt called to serve this vision from my earliest days.

Community

Church is where we practice loving the world. As an active public intellectual, I am committed to a ministry of speaking truth to power.

The Globe

Global solutions begin at home. As a multilingual social innovator with roots on four continents, I connect into broad movements for justice.

What I Believe

I grew up in a humanist community committed to liberation. In my youth, I came out as Bisexual (now Queer) and founded my high school’s first LGBTQ+ club. I am a seeker after diverse religious experiences. I’ve danced around bonfires and knelt in awe before great works of sacred art. I have a PhD in theology, lived in a monastery, and practice daily devotions. As a partner in an interfaith marriage, I am called to both curiosity and humility.
